08292012

It is 9:58 PM on August 29, 2012—four, almost five months since I last posted to this thing.  It has been awhile, to say the least.  I am not entirely sure why I have been in such a prolonged blogging lull, but then again, I know exactly why I have been.  Fashion blogging has lost its appeal, regained it, and then lost it once again.  And ultimately, life has been happening for me.  It isn't that I don't want to blog anymore, I actually want to get back into blogging regularly, I just don't know where to start.  So, consider this my start, or my restart I guess.  But this time it is going to be different.  In no way am I changing over to a "lifestyle blog," nor will I be identifying as a food blog, or a travel blog.  The Fitting will still revolve around fashion, but I am going to incorporate more of my writing.  It will also aid in the exploration of my latest entrepreneurial endeavor.  And it will definitely be used as a coping mechanism, because I have quite the exciting, yet daunting adventure ahead of me: Starting my new life in New York City.  Basically, The Fitting will identify as a human blog (with fashion); fitting in, finding my voice, and living—or trying not to die, depending on how you look at it.  An outfit post might creep in every once in awhile, but quite frankly, they bore me now, and they have become so typical and so incredibly jaded.  I am quite disenchanted with fashion blogging, however I want to document, I want to write, and I want to keep in touch, even though we will be hundreds, maybe thousands of miles apart: Hi Mom!  Hi Grandma!  Hi Dana!  So here it goes, my reboot.

Thank you for reading!
